My Nikon FE with Tamron SP lens cost $60 and the Nex $100. You will end up with a high quality SLR able to take digital photos comparable to new DSLR's worth $thousands. This is a very rewarding and satisfying project. Final sanding can be done with the sensor in place but watch the dust from getting into your sensor connections. You will just need to blueprint it a bit. If you follow my measurements of the sensor rebate this will be exactly the same for all cameras. Once it is working, experiment with your camera on a tripod taking photos at varying distances to check the focus accuracy.

This takes a bit of experimentation to get it in the right position. Using light grade painters masking tape, mark out the area about the same size as the sensor on the smooth convex side. Slip this filter in behind the mirror and use black tape to hold it in position. You will use this for infrared photography. The other filter make out of glass from a microscope slide. You will reuse the original infra red filter combo which will give you the RGB colour pictures.

A digital sensor does the work film used to, and we are aiming for either a Full Frame or APS-C sensor," explains PSEUDO. The Digipod was a semi-promising concept that tried to deliver on a long-requested task: Bring a digital sensor into our old film cameras. "We are making a digital canister which can be inserted into 35mm film cameras in the same way a roll of film is. Previous attempts by DigiPod back in 2013 didn't succeed but PSEUDO says that advances in technology now make it a possibility and as a result, they're looking for backers who'll help them with the research and development stages of the project.
